Long time no see, everyone. First of all, Happy Lunar New Year.
This year marks my fourth year of making music. Looking back, time really flies. Because of personal inspiration cycles and academic pressure, my production slowed down after last March. Even so, my passion for music has not changed, and I have continued learning whatever I can to prepare for future work. In the near future, I will release a new track, and I appreciate your support.
Today, I want to share my personal Chinese translation of the Diva user manual. Consider it my Lunar New Year gift to everyone: download link.
Diva is one of the main reasons I fell in love with subtractive synthesis. In my own music, many sounds people assume are from “analog hardware” are actually from Diva. As the official statement says, Diva is software with the soul of analog hardware. Beyond accurately reproducing real-world circuit behavior, it also has the flexibility and deployment advantages that hardware synths cannot match. With just a computer and headphones, that distinctive analog heat and chaos is immediately available.
To help Chinese users with weaker English foundations understand Diva better, I have been translating Diva’s English manual since last winter. Today, I can finally share the first version.
A few points to make clear:
- This manual is completely free.
- Its purpose is to help users work with the plugin more easily.
- Anyone may read, quote, or non-commercially share this translation.
- Any commercial use (including resale in any form) is strictly prohibited.
Because this is an individual effort, errors and omissions are inevitable. If you spot any translation inaccuracies, sentence issues, or layout mistakes, please contact me via email (address listed on the manual’s homepage). Your feedback helps improve quality.
The manual will continue receiving updates and corrections. Some hyperlinks still point to unfinished sections and will be fixed in later versions. When Diva gets major version updates, I will also translate the new content and publish updates on this page.
Once again, wishing everyone a prosperous and joyful Year of the Snake. I hope this work helps your music production, and I hope we can continue bringing more unique and colorful sounds to the world together.
